China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (January 7-13) the average steel price in China increased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous week.In particular, in the given week prices of 3 mm hot rolled sheet, 10 mm steel plate and 6.5 mm diameter high-speed wire rod increased by 0.8 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.4 percent respectively, all week on week.
In the week ending January 13, average prices of minerals in China witnessed an increase of 4.7 percent week on week. Furthermore, the average price of iron ore in China increased by 5.7 percent in the week in question, while the prices of tin ore, molybdenum ore and copper ore were down three percent, 2.3 percent and 0.9 percent respectively compared to the previous week.
Meanwhile, in the given week average prices of energy in China remained unchanged week on week.
