German sports car manufacturer Porsche has reported a 25.5% increase in the global sales of January 2013 that reached to 12,061 vehicles compared to 9,613 units sold in same month of 2012.
The company observed highest sales in the US with a rise of 31.7% from 2,550 units sold in January 2012 to 3,358 units sold in the corresponding month this year.
Porsche Sales and Marketing executive board member Bernhard Maier said that the new-year started very well for the company.
"We have an attractive model range, so we have reason to be optimistic for 2013," Maier added.
In China, the company's sales went up by 38.1% to 3,123 units from 2,261 units sold in the the month in 2012 , while the sales increased from 2,928 units to 3,191 units in January 2013 up by 9% in the Europe.
The company's Cayenne model led the sales with sales of 6,735 vehicles in the month, while the other models included the 911, Boxster/Cayman and Panamera.
