Mettler-Toledo Safeline has upgraded its Gravity Fall metal detector designed to remove metal contaminant during the production of powdered and granulated foods.
The upgraded system features Mettler-Toledo Safeline's Profile search head with ultra-high frequency technology to increase detection sensitivity which helps in accurate detection of metal fragments within the product stream, minimizing the risk of contamination.
The Gravity Fall system is equipped with high speed automated diverter rejecters to detect metal foreign bodies from particulates in free-fall.
The search head is capable of detecting ferrous and non-ferrous metal shards, including aluminum, brass, copper, bronze and stainless steel, as small as 0.3mm in diameter.
According to the company, the Gravity Fall metal detector uses Zero Metal Free Zone (ZMFZ) technology and offers enhanced flexibility for manufacturers to optimize detection sensitivity for a range of applications and can be easily customized with a range of rejection devices according to brand owners' application needs.
It is also equipped with condition monitoring to identify adverse detection sensitivity trends mitigating risks and reducing maintenance downtime and costs.
Mettler-Toledo Safeline is a supplier of metal detection and x-ray inspection solutions for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
