Solar-grade crystalline silicon wafer maker Gigastorage has reported September consolidated revenues of NT$648 million (US$21.7 million), rising 76.22% on year and by 8.07% on month, according to the company.
Gigastorage's third-quarter consolidated revenues totaled NT$1.853 billion, slipping 12.73% sequentially, and consolidated revenues for January-September reached NT$5.949 billion, up 21.39% on year.
Since Gigastorage has almost fully utilized its production capacity, the company in early October acquired a 100% stake in fellow maker Wafering Technology to quickly expand production capacity.
To staying focused on solar wafers, Gigastorage has been shifting blank optical disc production to its subsidiary in Thailand.
