Computerworld - Sprint will start selling the quad-core LG Optimus G smartphone on Nov. 11 for $199.99 and a two-year contract, nine days after AT&T put its version on sale for the same price.
The Sprint LG Optimus G will have a 13-megapixel rear camera, compared to the 8-megapixel rear camera in AT&T's model.
Both deviceswill run over the carriers' respective LTE networks.
Both also run Android 4.0. Neither have said when the smartphones will be upgraded to 4.1.
The phone runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core chip, which is clocked at 1.5 GHz per core.
Aside from the fast processor speed, the LG Optimus G gets high marks from several reviewers for its 4.7-in. display with vivid images at 1280 x 768 pixels and for a set of business features such as Dual Mode Dual Play, which can run a presentation on the phone and a separate display, with presentation notes shown only on the phone.
