Reportedly, Swedish-based special steel producer, Ovako, announced to introduce its new hot-rolled ring mill at its Hofors works in Sweden. Meanwhile, the company has invested approximately €8million for targeting on larger dimensions products in order to meet demand in domestic market. The new product line will be able to serve the offshore wind turbine industry. Currently, the company's No.5 line is able to produce related ring products with an annual production capacity to 20,000 tons and it is expecting to operate about 75% of current level. In addition, the company will continue to focus on high value add products lines for potential market.
