Steel Imports Increased by 4.10 Percent Compared to The Previous Month

According to the data announced by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in March this year the value of Indonesia's iron and steel imports increased by 4.10 percent compared to the previous month, amounting to $673.4 million, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel decreased by 28.8 percent month on month to $301.1 million.

In the first quarter of the current year, Indonesia's iron and steel import value came to $2.08 billion, falling 19.23 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel amounted to $1.04 billion, down 19.74 percent year on year.
