Carmaker Volkswagen has unveiled plug-in hybrid XL1 that will be produced at its Osnabruck production facility in Germany.
The car is powered by a two-cylinder TDI engine that generates output of 35kW (48ps) which will be complemented by the Electric motor that produces 20kW (27 PS) of output and has a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.
Acceleration of 0-100km/h in 12.7S is offered by the car, with a top speed of 160km/h, while offering 0.9L/100km fuel consumption.
The two-seater is claimed to gain speed of 100km/h using 6.2kW or 8.4ps of power and travel the distance of about one kilometer in all-electric mode with power of 0.1kWh.
According to the company, the car offers a range of about 50km in all-electric mode and is specified to be 3,888mm long, 1,665mm wide and 1,153mm tall.
