According to statistics released by the Italian steel producers association (Federacciai), Italy’s exports of steel products from the non-EU countries totaled 2.203 million tons in the first five months of this year, decreasing by 9% year on year.
Among them, the exports of steel flat products decreased by 25.9%; those of steel long products increased by 10.1%, both compared to the figures in the same period of a year ago.
In the given period of time, Italy’s imports of steel products from the non-EU countries totaled 3.332 million tons, increasing by 27.3% year on year.
