Ther-Rx Corporation Has Announced The Availability of Clindesse Vaginal Cream

Ther-Rx Corporation, a subsidiary of K-V Pharmaceutical Company, has announced the availability of Clindesse (clindamycin phosphate) vaginal cream, 2% for prescription to treat bacterial vaginosis (BV) in non-pregnant women.

Wholesalers have already started distributing the product to retail pharmacies.

Ther-Rx and K-V CEO Greg Divis said, "Together with Gynazole-1's reintroduction in January, the availability of Clindesse represents a key positive milestone for the Company as the two products comprising our anti-infectives franchise are both available for prescribing."

Clindesse contains mineral oil to weaken latex or rubber products such as condoms or vaginal contraceptive diaphragms.

Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, obstetrician and gynecologist Dr Michael Randell said, "Clindesse and Gynazole-1 are well-established treatment options with high patient satisfaction, so it's great to be able to prescribe them for my patients again."
