Korea’s Hyundai Steel planned to raise its prices for hot rolled coils (HRC) by KRW30, 000/ton for August since the import prices of HRC from China have increased.
In fact, the HRC prices have fallen by around KRW10,000/ton in the Korean market over the past two weeks due to huge supply from Hyundai Steel.
At present, the HRC prices are at KRW700,000~KRW73,000/ton in the Korean market.
