Multi Packaging Solutions (MPS) has completed its previously announced acquisition of the North American and Asian print businesses of AGI-Shorewood Group (ASG) to expand its global network and customer base.
ASG, which is a portfolio company of Atlas Holdings, is a manufacturer of print and packaging in the US, Canada, Mexico and China.
MPS specialises in manufacturing print-based specialty packaging, including premium folding cartons, labels, inserts/leaflets, and specialty packaging across a variety of substrates and finishes.
Speaking about the acquisition, MPS CEO Marc Shore said: "We are pleased about the addition of ASG to the MPS family. Both companies share a common vision: to provide innovative products of the highest quality to serve our customers on a local and global basis. We look forward to working together as a cohesive team to enhance our offering to our customers and achieve our strategic goals."
At the time of the announcement, ASG Europe CEO Tony Garnish had said that Atlas' decision to sell ASG would not impact ASG Europe and would have little impact on their business relationship with their company in Europe.
