US-based printing paper supplier Mac Papers has acquired packaging products distributor Alles in Hialeah, Florida.
The acquisition includes Alles' offices and distribution centers at Tampa and Jacksonville in Florida and Louisville in Kentucky, while the distributor will perform operations at its facilities until it is integrated with Mac Papers warehouse locations in the respective regions.
The move is expected to support Mac Papers in expanding its core business by offering packaging distribution services.
Mac Papers chairman and CEO Sutton McGehee said, "This strategic acquisition underscores our commitment to becoming a bigger player in the packaging industry by combining our strong product and distribution expertise with Alles' geographical footprint and increased scope of services."
With the acquisition, the paper supplier expects to grow from its packaging line of business as well as increase net sales across the company.
Additionally, 48 packaging experts, servicing technicians and customer service professionals will be added to Mac Papers that would help in offering better servicing solutions for customers.
