India-based TCPL Packaging has further invested in KBA-Sheetfed’s three Rapida 106 presses, in a bid to enhance its production operations.
TCPL already commenced operations of one press at its facility in Silvassa, while the second press at its plant in Guwahati.
At the Guwahati plant, the company installed Rapida 106 press with six inking units, coating tower, two intermediate drying units each holding a further inking unit and coating tower and three-fold delivery extension.
The press, which includes UV function and pile logistics features, has been set 450mm higher for packaging production.
At present, TCPL installed six Rapida 106 presses at its locations in Haridwar, Silvassa and Guwahati.
The company will also begin operations of KBA’s seventh press within short time.
At Haridwar facility, the company installed Rapida 106 press with eight inking units and coating tower, as well as extended delivery and cold foil module features.
The press includes additional packages for printing cardboard and foil, and is installed for UV/mixed operation. Its other features include automated with pile logistics, non-stop automatic function and FAPC plate changing.
TCPL includes six Rapida 106 presses with 50 printing and finishing units, comprising of seven coating towers for conventional and UV production, corona unit and other units for quality inline finishing.
With around 1,200 employees, TCPL produces food packaging solutions, as well as other packaging solutions for products such as cigarettes.
