Hitting the guilders labs ahead of the phone’s April 10 UK release date, the Galaxy S6 is being given the luxurious makeover courtesy of London-based customisation specialist Goldgenie.
Joining its sibling in stepping into new realms of high-end handset appeal, the innovative, curved screen hosting Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is also being prepped for the gold plating treatment.
If simple, plain ol’ 24-carat gold isn’t quite up your street, additional Rose Gold and Platinum finishes will also be available from the flagship phone modders.
“Goldgenie is excited about the forthcoming launch and will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in their craftsmen’s signature finishes of 24k Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum,” the company confirmed.
Detailed prices have yet to be revealed, but Goldgenie has confirmed that the 24-carat Gold S6 will set wannabe owners back £1,664 excluding VAT.
Set to be available for pre-order ahead of the S6’s April 10 release, wannabe owners will be able to place deposits on the gold finished phones from this Friday, March 20.
For those who require further lavish prompting, the gold plated S6 and S6 Edge will be presented in a cherry oak display case.
