Lilypond Started a New Campaign Called "Color Me Pink" to Benefit Breast Cancer Victims

Lilypond has started a new campaign called “Color Me Pink” to benefit breast cancer victims and survivors.

Consistent with the brand’s mission to empower women to get outdoors and find inspiration in the natural world, Lilypond has chosen to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating a percentage of their sales through the end of October to First Descents.

First Descents is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free outdoor adventure for young adult cancer fighters and survivors. The organization empowers participants to climb, paddle and surf beyond their diagnosis, defy cancer, reclaim their lives and connect with others doing the same.

Lilypond donates 5% of their overall annual sales to three hand-selected organizations, all of which encourage the love for the outdoors. However, this month they want to additionally support one in particular in honor of the nationwide, annual Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. Lilypond will sell all in-line products in their ‘Alpine Berry’ colorway with 25% of each online sale going to First Descents.

Lilyponds Marketing Manager, Alicia Brossart, thought up the ‘Color Me Pink’ initiative when joining the company in early September.

"This idea came to mind and we did everything we could to make it happen,” said Brossart. “I love the idea of being able to give back to an organization that facilitates women who have fought or are currently fighting cancer to get outside. Lilypond firmly believes in movement in nature. This is another way we can support this belief but provide an opportunity for women to get out and do it.”
