Camden EURO Islington NHS Foundation Trust Will Lead The Four-Year Framework

Some 29 NHS Trusts across London and south England have issued a framework tender worth EURO 300m for clinical information systems.

Camden EURO Islington NHS Foundation Trust will lead the four-year framework, valued from EURO50m to EURO300m.

The tender has been divided into three lots, the first including application software, data migration and deployment for community, child and mental health service.

The second requires service management hosting to provide a robust, secure and flexible infrastructure to support the current and future needs of the participating trusts in relation to the running of hosting arrangements.

The third will provide reporting, integration and interoperability functions.

The tender notice comes as IT commissioning is devolved from the National Programme for IT to individual trusts.

The Department of Health aims to move from a ''provide all'' approach to IT toward a ''connect all'' model, issuing a set of interoperability standards so that systems will be able to communicate.

Suppliers have been given until 25 July 2012 to access the documents.
