Voting is underway in the EU referendum as the country decides the future of its relationship with the European Union.
Polls opened at 7am and will close at 10pm this evening, after which, the real coverage begins ahead of the provisional result being announced sometime around 2am on Friday 24 June.

Watch live coverage
The best way to stay informed is to tune into the live results coverage, which starts at 10pm after polling stations close. Up until that point, broadcasters are limited in what they can report, so this is when you'll want to start paying attention.

BBC iPlayer
The BBC will be the go-to channel for many, and thankfully the Beeb's iPlayer lets you watch live TV – it's not just a catch-up service.

You'll be presented with a pop-up that asks whether you have a TV licence, and if you do, you can simply click 'Watch Now' to tune into the live coverage. Simple.
