TetraPak has unveiled new technologies at Anuga FoodTec 2012

TetraPak has unveiled new technologies at Anuga FoodTec 2012, an international food technology fair currently being held in Cologne, Germany. The firm said its iLine XT works as an integrator across the floor, as palletisers, pallet wrappers, printers and labellers can be integrated through the Line Controller 30 Plus into the packaging line.

The system uses real time dynamic feedback to manage priorities across the lines.

According to the firm, the e-BeamFaster brings about a sterilisation technology for carton packaging coupled with reduced system costs and improved environmental performance.

The eBeam sterilisation technology, which is under concept development in collaboration with th COMET group, reduces carbon emissions and supports higher line capacities, while allowing customers to simplify their plant operations by eliminating the need to handle bulk chemicals and simplifying quality control.

The packaging giant said sterilisation technology will will enable high-speed packaging under the Hyperspeed Concept, that can deliver speeds of up to 40,000 packages per hour, while decreasing customer operational costs on portion packages, as per configuration, by up to 30%.

A new GUI has also been designed that reduces the number of inputs required to perform functions. It aligns the look and feel of all control panels and works with integratd intelligence solutions and is currently being placed across the complete range of packaging machines.
