Baker Hughes reported Friday that for the week ending January 11,the US rig count fell by one again to 1,761,following a one-rig drop the week prior.On a year-on-year basis,the US rig count is down 226.Rigs drilling for oil totaled 1,323,up five from last week,while gas-directed rigs fell by five to 434.
Canada's rig count surged by 273 to 531 from last week when the rig count increased by 54.Canada's rig count was still down 80 from the same week a year ago.
