NitroFill Inc. and the Castrol Motor Oil division of BP Lubricants USA Inc. have formed a joint venture -- and a program for car dealers.
The "Lifetime Protection Plan" is a a new and used car dealer program that provides dealer customers with the following:
* lifetime engine warranty coverage,
* lifetime auto club memberships and
* lifetime tire maintenance services.
"While the Lifetime Protection Plan provides enormous consumer benefits, its greatest value to our dealers is its ability to compel vehicle customers to return to their selling dealers for all of their vehicle service needs," says Jay Lighter, president of NitroFill.
"The Lifetime Protection Plan leverages the two most frequently requested and required vehicle maintenance needs -- tire maintenance and engine oil changes -- into service drive traffic by keeping each customer on a disciplined maintenance schedule and rewarding them for their participation."
The plan is only available to franchised new car dealers. It combines the use of NitroFill tire inflation and Castrol Edge Professional motor oil, Castrol's latest and most advanced full synthetic motor oil, which, like the plan, is only available to franchised new car dealers.
According to Castrol, this "endorsement" will present franchised dealers with an opportunity to maximize upselling opportunities. The company cited a YouGov survey conducted in March 2012, that found 60% of motorists visiting a franchised car dealer would consider their car manufacturer's recommendation as one of their first criteria when it comes to selecting an oil brand.
