US-based Dry Dock Brewing is planning to offer its four hand-crafted beers in the aluminum cans made by using the technology from the packaging supplier, Ball.
The cans will be environmentally friendly and recyclable, claims the company.
Ball Americas metal beverage packaging division sales senior vice president Rob Miles said that by moving to Ball aluminum cans, craft brewers are realizing efficiencies in energy and operating costs while delivering a differentiated product that is a perfect match to the growing craft brew marketplace.
"And since cans are impenetrable to light and oxygen and chill faster than other packages, the result is fresher, better tasting beer," Miles added.
The company will offer the beers, Dry Dock Apricot Blonde, Hefeweizen, Amber Ale and Hop Abomination IPA, in the cans.
