Australia's Antidumping Commission Has Initiated an Antidumping Duty Investigation

Australia's Antidumping Commission has announced that it has initiated an antidumping (AD) duty investigation regarding the imports of certain hollow structural sections from Thailand.

The application lodged by Australia-based Austube Mills Pty. Ltd claims that the goods have been exported to Australia at prices less than their normal value and that the dumping has caused material injury to the Australian industry through loss of sale volume, reduced market share, price depression, reduced profits and reduced production and capacity utilization.

The antidumping investigation will cover the period between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014.

The products subject to duty investigation currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7306.30.00, 7306.50.00, 7306.61.00 and 7306.69.00.
