Smurfit Kappa has opened a new experience centre in Konin, Poland, eight of its kind in Europe.
Each experience centre is meant to provide a range of accessible solutions and services to its customers including how to use packaging solutions to meet their business needs.
The centres initiate collaboration, discussion and exchange of ideas, with each featuring high definition screens and smart video conferencing facilities.
Customers can benefit from the 3D Store Visualiser that helps them to test products before investing in them.
This experience centre joins a network of centres being rolled out in Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, UK, Ireland and Spain.
One of the largest packaging experience centres in the world, the Global Experience Centre, is set to open in Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport in April 2015.
CeDo Group packaging manager Katarzyna Nycz-Krzaczek said: "The Smurfit Kappa Experience Centre is a place where we can meet in creative environment and develop new ideas. It's a place where we can analyse and test newly developed solutions on both real and virtual shelves, giving us a unique opportunity to ensure that our products always stand out on the shelf."
Apart from having an exhibition space measuring 120 meters, the center also comes equipped with a design studio with prototyping equipment that brings together customers and designers who can test and discuss solutions.
Smurfit Kappa Poland innovation and development manager Marcin Sowik said: "The decision to open this Experience Centre in Poland is one of many strategic moves to serve our growing customer base. Providing local support at the highest level within the packaging industry is a key differentiating factor for Smurfit Kappa."
