Philips Announced The Launch of New Anesthesia Product and Two Patient Monitoring Systems

Dutch multinational engineering and electronics conglomerate Royal Philips has announced the launch of new anesthesia product and two patient monitoring systems.

The products include IntelliSave AX700 anesthesia machine and, IntelliVue MX400 and MX450 patient monitors.

IntelliSave AX700 anesthesia machine, which obtained 510(k) approval, includes support for low-flow and minimal-flow anesthesia, as well as extensive ventilation capabilities.

This anesthesia machine features IntelliBridge, which allows the transfer of data from the device to an anesthesia/clinical information system such as Philips IntelliSpace Anesthesia or hospital information system.

The device has an option of a built-in multigas module to monitor different gases levels.

It offers additional capabilities, such as advanced ventilation modes like pressure regulated volume target, or special support for neonatal or heart-lung machine scenarios.

IntelliVue MX400 and MX450 patient monitors feature a built-in handle that can accommodate shifting center of gravity for enhanced portability.

These two monitors are 10% lighter than the previous MP20/30 series.

Philips Healthcare Patient Care and Clinical Informatics CEO Mike Mancuso noted patient care today demands quick, reliable and easy to use information at the clinicians' fingertips.

"Our new technologies include ease of use features, and more importantly, provide doctors with the right information at the right time to make those tough calls.

"Our goal at Philips is to bring to market innovative technologies that improve patient outcomes and meet the needs of clinicians all around the world. These new solutions do just that and more," Mancuso added.
