Case goods importer Classic Concepts Inc. has named Kathi Cunningham a senior account manager.

She will be based out of the company's Atlanta showroom and will cover the Southeast sales territory.

Cunningham most recently was at importer Four Hands, where she was a senior account executive, developing new accounts and working to expand key accounts at Top 100 retailers. Before that, she had worked for 12 years at retailer Cunningham Furniture, where she was CEO and had driven annual sales to $3 million.

Thomas Andonian, general manager of Classic Home, a Classic Concepts brand, said in a statement that Cunningham "has incredible experience in the home furnishings industry. The fact that she has spent 25 years in wholesale and retail environments makes her an ideal salesperson."

Cunningham reports to Andonian and to Bill Carpenter, Classic Concepts vice president of sales.

"I will not only be offering beautiful solid-wood furniture, but also have the opportunity to offer key accounts design-driven pillows, bedding and rugs," she said. "By offering such an awesome variety of products I can provide my key accounts with a unique opportunity to create a full lifestyle story in their stores."

Cunningham also has served on the boards of the National Home Furnishings Assn. and the Georgia Home Furnishings Assn. In 2006, she received a WOW Mentoring Award from WithIt.
