The general slight flattening in economic activity has also been reflected in slightly slacker demand for load carriers in the past few weeks. The tapering out of seasonal influences and the usual lower stocks in the industry at the end of the year are currently contributing to a somewhat lower level of demand for pallets as well. According to central European pallet manufacturers, due to the changes in the underlying conditions the influx of orders for the majority of assortments of new standard pallets has been noticeably lower in October/November than it has in the preceding months.
