Tags: price, Taiwan, scrap

The blooming rising global scrap price has pushed most of Taiwanese rebar mills to hike their new rebar base price in this week.

However, most of the local market participants worried about the raising rebar price in this week may cause rebar transaction activity to idle away in domestic market.

In this week, Taiwan's major rebar mill Feng Hsin has announced to hike its new price by NT$200/ton and most of other Taiwan's rebar mills have also followed with Feng Hsin' step to lift their new price.

Nevertheless, since most of Taiwan's local distributors have purchased hung quantity of rebar for stock in last week, buyers will not on hurry to start new purchase in this week.
