Quintain Steel, one of the major carbon steel wire rod re-rolling mills in Taiwan, has calculated its net operating loss from this January to November totaled NT$129 million, the number of loss has narrowed down a lot from 2012.
The company said that its December base price is basically the same as in this November and it has not had the apparent cost down in raw material.
Therefore, it will be still hard for the company to become profitable in fourth quarter.
However, Quintain Steel said since Taiwanese China Steel Corp. may raise its new price for next March, it may help the company to have the better sales performance in the first quarter of next year.
