Canadian mutual insurance firm Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company has chosen Guidewire’s PolicyCenter and BillingCenter as its new underwriting and policy administration technology and to manage its billing operations, respectively.
The property and casualty insurer said that both technologies, will boost its flexibility, transform its business processes and enhance its broker and customer service capabilities.
Further, the underwriter is also considering adopting three additional Guidewire add-on modules, including Rating Management, Reinsurance Management, and Client Data Management.
Wawanesa information services vice president Cam Loeppky said, both technologies will make it easier to provide more services to their customers over the Internet in its direct and broker markets.
He further added that the adoption of PolicyCenter and BillingCenter will help the firm to integrate more effectively with its brokers enabling them to quote and service their business more quickly and precisely.
Leveraging automated underwriting rules and real-time functionality, PolicyCenter and BillingCenter will eliminate manual processes and accelerate its speed-to-market due to Guidewire's easy-to-use configuration tools.
Designed to support both commercial and personal lines, PolicyCenter is a flexible underwriting and policy administration system assits insurers streamline front and back office processes, from new business submission and quoting through policy renewals.
Built on the core design principles of automation, control and flexibility, BillingCenter enables insurer to automate the billing lifecycle, design flexible billing, payment and delinquency plans, manage agent commissions and enable rapid integration with external payment systems.
Available as standalone or part of Guidewire InsuranceSuite both technologies can be combined to an insurer's legacy systems or third party applications.
