Tetra Pak has launched a global marketing campaign, ‘The Pack that Grows Back’ in a bid to educate consumers about renewable packaging. The campaign offers insight to the importance of responsible resource management.
The campaign, which aims to raise awareness and understanding of a topic that is often misunderstood by consumers, highlights why renewable materials are an important part of the environmental agenda.
Tetra Pak president and CEO Dennis Jonsson said the new campaign emphasizes the company's commitment to sustainable packaging.
"The responsible management of our forests both protects them and offers consumers and industry a virtual limitless supply of wood and paperboard to meet rising demand for packaging and other goods," Jonsson said.
Kicking off in France, Spain and Italy in June 2013, The Pack that Grows Back is scheduled to roll out in markets around the world in 2013.
One of Tetra Pak's three 2020 environmental goals include development of renewable packaging using only renewable materials. The other goals include capping climate impact across the value chain at 2010 levels and doubling the global recycling rate for its used cartons.
