A Research and Educatiom Zone to Feature The World's First Liquid Ammonia Processing Tech

A ‘Research and Education’ zone will feature the world’s first liquid ammonia processing technology for knitted fabrics at Interstoff Asia Essential – Autumn 2014, set to return to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 25–27 September, 2014

The Research and Education Zone focuses on eco-friendly dyeing processes and Korea High Tech Textile Research Institute, will demonstrate the world’s first ever liquid ammonia processing technology for knitted fabrics, as well as its energy-efficient CPB dyeing system.

“Exhibitors leading fashion hubs in Asia like Hong Kong, Japan and Korea, including new exhibitors are expected to reveal next season’s fabric trends”, organisers of the fair – Messe Frankfurt said.

Fab Head Ltd from Hong Kong will showcase its denim fabrics featuring jacquard & flocked and embossed pattern effects. Another new Hong Kong exhibitor, Poly Beauty Textile Ltd will introduce its leading garment interlining brands as well as its high-quality chiffon.

R&D Textile Co Ltd from Korea, on the other hand, will bring its premium acetate / triacetate satin, crepe, printed, jacquard, knitted and marble linen fabrics for womenswear, while Uni Textile Co Ltd from Japan will offer its Japanese-made trendy printed and dyed woven / knitted fabrics.

As more and more stylish outfits are made from functional fabrics nowadays, Poiztex, a new exhibitor from Korea, will demonstrate its achievements in this area at the fair.

“We chose to join Interstoff because we want to explore the fashion trends in Hong Kong,” said Euna Bae, CEO of Poiztex, whose waterproof fabrics feature embossing patterns.

“We will bring our nanoporous waterproof fabrics, which are light, soft and excel in keeping users warm in extremely cold environments, as well as our micro-pore dry membrane that offer excellent high-pressure water resistance,” she added.

Utilising eco-friendly materials is another development in functional fabrics, and Foshan King Wonder New Material Technology Co Ltd from China is one of the companies producing such fabrics

“This year we will bring our latest products featuring windproof, waterproof, breathable and bacteria barrier properties, including our news ones - EasyTex and VerBeq, which are PFC and DMF free,” said Cherry Gan from Foshan King.

PFC and DMF are two toxic chemicals that are harmful to the environment and human health used in conventional waterproof and stain-proof coatings.

Shinnaigai Textile Ltd from Japan will make a debut appearance with their new botanical-dyed mélange yarns. “We will display nine fabrics dyed, using dyestuffs extracted from flowers while the other seven are from fruits,” the firm’s representative Mitsuhiro Yamada said.

Tomake the product scope more complete, Interstoff has set aside an area for displaying garment accessories like woven labels, embroidery webbings and various zippers and buttons. Joining the accessories zone this year are the likes of KQQR Zippers, Shantou Manlee Embroidery Co Ltd, etc.
