Deluxe Packages Invests in KBA Rapida 106 Sheetfed Offset Press

Pakistan-based Deluxe Packages has invested in KBA’s seven-colour Rapida 106 sheetfed offset press, in a bid to enhance its production operations.

The company will install seven-colour sheetfed offset press at its Karachi facility to sart production in autumn.

With enhanced print format and production output, the Rapida 106 press can be used for mixed conventional or UV production.

Featuring 450mm raised foundations, the press has been integrated with accessory packages to be used for both board and plastics printing.

Rapida 106 press also features fully automatic FAPC plate changers and CleanTronic multi washing systems for the alternating use of different ink systems.

Deluxe Packages’s Rehan Shafi Siddiqui and Zeeshan Mustafa Shafi Siddiqui said:“We were looking to invest in the very latest technology, and the Rapida 106 was thus a logical choice.

“Our confidence in KBA and the local sales team from Imprint Packaging Solutions was paramount in this decision.”

With production speeds up to 20,000 sheets per hour, the Rapida 106 press includes 19 printing and inline finishing units.

The company recently announced that it will exhibit its two half-format presses at its manufacturing facility in Radebeul, Germany.

The Rapida 75 PRO and Rapida 76 presses will be exhibited during a series of open days daily through to 6th July.

Part of the KBA-Sheetfed portfolio, the Rapida 75 PRO can be used in a broad production spectrum in B2 format

Deluxe Packages provides packaging solutions for the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and confectionery branches, in addition to POS displays.

The company, which operates a two-shift system, prints around 35 million sheets per year.
