Roberts PolyPro, a producer of product packaging lines based in the US, and a subsidiary of Pro Mach, will launch a bottle handle applicator at forthcoming Pack Expo 2012.
With a capacity of 20 cases per minute, the new Inline Intermittent Motion Applicator produces multi packs and single handles to water bottles in the US and edible oils in Latin America.
According to the US-based firm, the packagers can use the same container for club stores as well as convenience outlets from the same packaging line, which uses 100% recyclable high density polyethylene (HDPE #2) handles.
The single bottle mode in the new line helps it apply twin pack handles and separate them in the same motion to bring out two single bottle handles that are 25% thinner than injection molded handles.
Besides these features, the new applicator comprises PolyPro bottle alignment technology that ensures accurate placement of handles, and a high capacity magazine that can work on an average of 45 minutes without handle-loading intervention.
