Enso Plastics has introduced two new technologies, Enso Renew and Enso Restore, in order to address the growing global plastic pollution issue.
According to the environmental plastics solutions provider, Enso Renew is a renewable thermo polymer (RTP), which is derived from the waste process of agriculture, with a carbon footprint of 75% lower compared to polyethylene.
Designed to meet the needs of applications which look for renewable solutions to advance sustainability goals, the biopolymer results in home and industrial compostable as well as marine degradable plastics.
Enso Restore is said to be the latest development of biodegradable additives and offers improvements to biodegradable performance and process-ability/compatibility.
The additive eliminates the higher scrap rates of competing biodegradable additives and creates environmental and cost advantage. It accelerates natural biodegradation, without disturbing the disposal method or performance.
Enso Restore works with light weighted packaging and thin film applications as well as all with other types of resins including PE, PP, PET, PS, Rubber, Nitrile and polyurethane among others.
