A new application for the iPhone has been launched by the makers of Calpol to assist parents in managing and caring an ill child, while performing daily tasks.
Launch of the new application, especially for mothers, was based on a survey that noted more than half of parents were worried of incorrectly identifying their child's symptoms when unwell.
Published by McNeil Healthcare (UK) Limited, the new Calpol app includes essential advices on symptoms for the most common childhood illnesses.
The new app provides includes a handy feature which reads the advice out loud by providing extra support to tackle the situation.
Other features of the app include dosage diary, find my nearest pharmacy or hospital, temperature tracker, soothing lullabies, history, information on immunization and information on the CALPOL range.
Calpol brand manager Claire Ryder said that the functionality and features have been designed specifically taking into account feedback from parents, to help them get their children back to normal.
"CALPOL has been trusted by parents for over 45 years now and this app demonstrates our on-going commitment to meeting their needs," Ryder added.
