This rose gold pendant is part of Luca Carati’s new Crochet collection, which the brand had on display at the recent Vicenzaoro show in Dubai.
After more than 25 years in business, Italy’s Luca Carati continues to design, develop and produce its jewelry in-house, combining manual techniques with new technologies.
The brand, which makes classic, feminine pieces, does have a presence in the United States, and also is attempting to grow in the Middle East.
At the Vicenzoro Dubai show, Luca Carati was displaying a number of collections that are new for 2015.
“Crochet” features soft nets of gold adorned with diamonds or colored gemstones, while the “Piuma” collection uses feathers throughout to pay homage to the “feminine delicacy,” and is made with gold and diamonds.
The “Bluebell” collection, meanwhile, is inspired by a British ballet company that used to create shows at the Lido de Paris in the 1940s, where dancers dressed in colorful outfits and “danced in rhythms of light and color,” the brand said, leading to a line of simply shaped jewelry made in white and rose gold with diamonds and sapphires.
The fourth collection the brand launched in 2015 was “Endless Love,” featuring pieces that are meant to be gifted and simple enough to be work every day as a reminder of what’s important. For the pieces, hand-woven string in waxed cotton is set with gold charms and diamonds.
In addition to these four new collections, Luca Carati also showcased its “Plie” collection featuring pendants that transform from an oval shape to a three dimensional flower. The brand said at the show that Plie is doing well for them in that market.
