Flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC) provider Conitex Sonoco USA has introduced new multi-layer barrier bag product line.
Launched through the company's BulkSak flexible products division, the new multi-layer barrier film bags are available in 20kg and 50kg sizes.
The new bags, which are available in a standard 25kg (55lb) size, offers up to 10-color customizable packaging.
The construction of the barrier bag is said to offer puncture-resistant packaging against corrosive damage caused by humidity, moisture, oxygen, salt spray, aromas, grease and other airborne contaminants.
Conitex’s new bag also includes an optional one-way degassing valve, which discharges air from inside the bag to preserve freshness and maintain quality for products sensitive to oxygen.
Alternative to the multi-wall paper bag, the new bags will provide a variety of customizable laminated film layers.
The company is offering composite materials for laminated coextrusion, including high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), aluminum (AL), nylon (PA), ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) and others
