Spirits company Bacardi is expanding its distribution network in North America with support from select distributors in franchise format and other chosen markets.
To expand its distribution network, Bacardi has signed Southern Wine & Spirits of America and Glazer's, which will form Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits LLC, to take control of its wine and spirits distribution across more than 40 markets in the US and Canada.
Bacardi North America regional president Pete Carr said: "This decision will enable us to expand our footprint with a single regional partner for the Open, Control and Canadian markets, generate incremental revenue and ultimately place Bacardi in a position to succeed for years to come.
"This is all about creating the best total value for Bacardi and reigniting top-line growth for our critical North America business in the most effective manner."

Bacardi, which was established 150 years ago, produces and markets spirits and wines under a strong portfolio with brands such as BACARDí rum, GREY GOOSE vodka, DEWAR'S blended Scotch whisky, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin, CAZADORES 100% blue agave tequila, MARTINI vermouth and sparkling wines. It manufactures its brands at 29 facilities and markets in more than 160 countries.
Southern Wine & Spirits of America is a wine and spirits distributor with business in 35 markets. Glazer's is a privately-held company with operations in 15 states, Canada and the Caribbean, and is considered as one of the largest distributors of wine, spirits and malt beverage products in the US.
