Tata Motors Has Unveiled The Four-Seater Megapixel Hybrid at The 82ND Geneva Motor Show

Indian auto maker, Tata Motors has unveiled the four-seater Megapixel hybrid at the 82nd Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.

Tata said that the new four-door hybrid model is derived from the company's two-door Pixel.

Tata Motors India operations managing director Prakash Telang said the Tata Megapixel is developed by the company's design centres in India, the UK and Italy.

"It is a result of the progress we have made on the Tata Pixel, displayed last year, and also denotes the company's future design direction," Telang said.

The Tata Megapixel is powered by four electric motors and a lithium ion battery pack, one for each wheel and additional power is provided by a small 325cc on-board petrol engine generator that offers a range of 900km with a single tank of fuel.

With the battery only power, the new hybrid featuring Zero Turn drive system offers a range of 87km and the batteries can be re-charged by an induction plate at the bottom of the car.

The company is also displaying the new generation Tata Safari Storme SUV, the Tata Aria crossover, the Tata Indigo Manza sedan and the Tata Indica Vista hatchback at the show.
