Multivac is planning to showcase its efficient and economical packaging solutions at the Fruit Logistica 2018 event, which is scheduled to be held in Berlin, Germany.
At the event, the firm plans to display its G 700 high-output traysealer, among other solutions. The traysealer is designed for packing ready meals, snacks, vegetables and fresh-cut products of all types.
Featuring gas flushing technology, the G 700 solution allows manufacturers to gently and reliably pack delicate products or those foods, which are hot filled, under modified atmosphere.
Capable of producing tray packs with or without modified atmosphere depending on product to be packed, the machine can pack up to 15 trays in a minute with MAP and up to 18 trays without modified atmosphere.
The solution can also run different types of trays, including plastic, aluminium or board as well as multi-chamber trays. It can also run trays with various shapes and height, which can be up to a maximum of 110mm.
At the event, Multivac will showcase the G 700 traysealer with a perforator for producing FreshSAFE packs which would help extend freshness of fruit and vegetables as well as salads without the addition of preservatives.
Multivac said: “This enables standard upper web to be perforated during the packaging procedure, so that an equilibrium modified atmosphere (EMAP) is produced within the pack.”
The traysealer has also been demonstrated by the firm at the Interpack 2017 event which was held in Germany from 04-10 May.
