LG has debuted a curved model of its OLED TV range at the CES show in Las Vegas. The EA9800, shown for the first time here features proprietary WRGB technology, and has an inward flex so the entire screen surface is equidistant from the viewer's eyes, removing screen-edge visual distortion and detail loss. Availability and pricing were not announced.
Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) has been implemented to further reduce unit weight and add additional strength to the curved screen.
The new model will ship with a wall bracket that allows a single person to complete the entire installation, after installation LG says the gap between wall and TV is less than one inch.
