According to a report from ESPN.com, Under Armour has offered Kevin Durant, the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar forward, a 10-year endorsement package worth between $265 million and $285 million. The deal also reportedly includes Under Armour stock and incentives such as a community center built in his mother's name.
The Oklahoma City Thunder forward grew up playing basketball in Washington and Maryland and still has family in the region. The sponsorship deal is estimated to be one of the largest-ever signed.
Roc Nation Sports, the Oklahoma City Thunder star's representation, has reportedly informed Nike, Durant's current sponsor, of the deal to offer Nike a chance to match the offer. Nike has the right to match any offer. Previously, Nike is reported to have offered Durant a deal that would pay him at least $20 million per year.
Under Armour's current NBA roster includes Stephen Curry, Brandon Jennings, Greivis Vasquez and Kemba Walker.
