Holfeld Plastics has extended its product range with the launch of a new 30mm recycled polyethylene terephthalate (r-PET) deep burger tray.
The new tray has been developed using about 85% recyclate in barrier materials APET or APET/PE in order to provide a better seal for modified atmosphere packaging.
According to the company, the new tray complements its other range of existing burger trays such as the G485 range, the TD13, 15 and G805 ranges and the C4E 2 cavity and D15/45.
Holfeld operations director Frank Coleman said that the new burger tray has been designed and manufactured in accordance with the demands of the customer.
"We have the versatility and the agility to manage long or short runs, bespoke or standard for our customers," Coleman said.
"This is a distinct advantage in a packaging industry that is driven by and succeeds on large volume orders to a mass market."
