IFCO Improve The Sustainability of Global Agriculture Supply Chains

Reusable plastic containers (RPC) provider in the US, IFCO Systems has joined The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) in the food, beverage and agriculture sector of the organization.

IFCO Strategic Market Development director Hillary Femal said the company, which has always championed environmental sustainability, looks forward to expanding its sustainable efforts through its TSC membership.

"IFCO will continue to work to improve the sustainability of global agriculture supply chains, providing efficient and sustainable solutions for packaging," Femal said.

International logistics service provider IFCO has more than 210 locations worldwide and its RPCs are used mainly to transport fresh produce from growers to grocery retailers.

The containers offer environmental benefits over traditional one-way packaging.
