It’s reported that the Japanese steelmaker Tokyo Steel announced that it will adjust the size extras for its January contracts.
Tokyo Steel will adjust size extra charges for some H-beams, channels and plate varieties that in some products double the size of the base price increase.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Steel listed overall price rises of US$10~US$20/ton for much of its product for January.
It is mainly because of the firm domestic demand. It also adjusts up some product extra for special sizes US$10~US$20/ton.
The company said the adjustments are based on a review of production costs and market conditions.
