Multi Packaging Solutions (MPS), a US-based provider of value-added packaging solutions, has acquired the UK-based producer of rigid boxes, Armstrong Packaging, for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition of Armstrong allows MPS to expand its products for luxury packaging, gift sets, travel retail and commemorative editions.
Additionally, the deal complements MPS' existing manufacturing, creative design, project management and global sourcing capabilities with Armstrong's product development and rigid box manufacturing capabilities.
MPS president Mike Cheetham said the addition of rigid box capability was a logical extension of their suite of value-added print and packaging solutions.
"Armstrong Packaging is a highly respected supplier with a talented team of dedicated individuals. I am excited to welcome them to Multi Packaging Solutions," Cheetham added.
Armstrong Packaging founder and managing director David Armstrong said the company has worked hard to develop the business over the last 30 years and build its coveted reputation for innovation and service.
