UK-based packaging provider Collcap Group has merged with global packaging firm Quadpack Industries.
The combined firm, which will retain the Quadpack name, will engage in the manufacturing and supply of packaging solutions to the beauty industry.
Collcap provides packaging solutions for cosmetics, perfumery and personal care industries, while Quadpack designs and produces packaging solutions for cosmetics companies.
Under the deal, Collcap’s office in Leek, Staffordshire will serve as the centre for group’s UK operations, while Quadpack’s Barcelona office in Spain remains as global headquarters.
Collcap will contribute its expertise in glass and plastic tubes and sourcing operations in Asia to the combined company, while Quadpack adds global infrastructure in sales, marketing, sourcing and logistics, as well as European manufacturing division.
The combined firm will develop advanced packaging solutions for skincare, make-up and fragrance markets.
The products will be either manufactured in-house or produced by approved manufacturing partners in Asia and Europe.
Earlier this year, Quadpack acquired injection-moulding firm Rinaplast to support its inorganic growth. It was rebranded as Quadpack Plastics.
Collcap founder John McDermott has been included as board member in Quadpack.
McDermott said: “Both Collcap and Quadpack are healthy, thriving companies which, together, boast increased market share, resources and purchasing power and, by consequence, competitive edge.”
Quadpack Industries CEO Tim Eaves said: “Collcap and Quadpack have had a long-standing relationship of mutual respect. Our values, our mentality, our structure, our processes – they all coincide.
“We each enjoy a loyal client base. We have a shared vision for the future. We’re a hand in glove fit,” he says, predicting a smooth transition as the companies join forces.”
