Sun Chemical has partnered with Canadian firm Young Flexographic to provide packaging printers across Canada.
The partnership is intended to provide packaging printers with quick access to conventional, high definition and flat-top-dot printing plates.
Sun Chemical Canada president Rod Staveley said: “It strengthens our position in Canada by providing printing plates that can be turned around quickly and helps to streamline our customers’ order process.”
Sun Chemical expects the partnership to reduce their supplier base by utilizing Sun Chemical as a one-stop shop.
Young Flexographic president and CEO Rick Young said: “Having a print expert combined with an experienced sales force with strong industry knowledge all under one umbrella is a true benefit to customers.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to partner with Sun Chemical. Our combined knowledge and troubleshooting ability will bring great dividends to our customers.”
Young Flexographic has earlier partnered with Sun Chemical’s printing plates division SunGraphics to allow for sharing of resources and insights.
Young Flexographic provides customer service, technical training, free press evaluation, rush turnaround, HD digital/flat top dot flexo plates, 50x80 large format plates, pre-press graphics, flood coat plates, full opti-check mounting, and proofing.
In October 2016, Sun Chemical has acquired European publication gravure ink business from Flint Group.
Sun Chemical, a member of the DIC group, is engaged in providing printing inks, coatings and supplies, pigments, polymers, liquid compounds, solid compounds, and application materials.
