The move will enable the company to expand its production capacity that will be enough to cater to the growth in demand for beers in the region.

To be spread over an area of around 67,000ft2, the proposed brewery will house advanced brewing equipment including a canning line and a 60 bbl brew house.

The brewery will initially produce 50,000 bbls annually, with an option to scale up to 125,000 bbls over the future.

It will also feature a tasting room and restaurant, as well as an expanded QA/QC laboratory for quality control.

Jack's Abby Brewing owner and head brewer Jack Hendler said: "We've developed a great relationship with the town of Framingham over the past three years and couldn't be happier that we found a location for the brewery that meets our needs and is central to downtown.

"Not only are we able to increase our capacity but we are will also able to offer 12-packs of bottles and cans. These are projects that we have wanted to do, but just don't have the room for in our current space."

Construction on the brewing facility will begin this spring, with plans to open in late 2015.

The brewery will employ around 40 people by the end of 2016.
